Avis Fleet Services commenced with business in Lesotho on 1 November 2007 when it won the tender to manage the fleet of the Government of Lesotho.
The company is 75% owned by Avis Fleet Services South Africa and 25% owned by a Basotho Consortium.
The Basotho Consortium is held in a company called Mason World Pty Ltd of which 60% of the shares are held by four individual
businessmen in Lesotho and the other 40% by the Lesotho Chamber of Commerce.
The company currently provides the following services:
- Full Maintenance Leasing
- Managed Maintenance
- Accident Management
- Workshop Management
- Vehicle tracking
- Fuel Management
- Disposal of used vehicles through vehicle auctions
Currently the company offers its services to Corporate Companies, Government and Parastatals.
